Overview
• Grow batches of sprouts with minimal maintenance.
• Oxygenate & Water your seeds automatically.
• Completely eliminate the initial step of soaking the seeds.
Thanks to the water reservoir, mister, and timer there is minimal upkeep as you no longer have to worry about manually rinsing every 6-8 hours. And you get to completely skip the need of soaking seeds for 12-24 hours. Increased oxygen combined with frequent rinsing allow for a consistently better quality grow, and also quicker growth compared to using jars.
The EasyGreen comes with one large tray for wheat grass, and 5x smaller individual trays to stagger your sprouts or grow different varieties.
Wheat grass is ready in 5-10 days, and sprouts are ready in about 4-6 days.
One pound of seeds will yield about ten pounds of sprouts, and will easily pay for itself in savings when you compare to buying sprouts at the store for $1-$3 per 4oz. Not to mention your home grown sprouts will be guaranteed fresh.
It becomes so easy to grow sprouts, you can easily experiment with different types of sprouts like red clover, red cabbage, red daikon radish, canola, broccoli, alfalfa, sunflower, mung bean, garden salad mix, garlic chives, fenugreek, buckwheat, dill, water cress, etc.
When I’m in the groove, I’ll consume two trays daily of wheat grass & 1-2 trays daily of sprouts. I have two machines running. Sometimes one machine is used to start a large tray of wheat grass, then after a couple days pull it out and water manually, while switching to the smaller trays for sprouts.

g. According to Dr. Ann Wigmore, a 5-day growing cycle for seeds such as alfalfa, broccoli, radish, clover and the similar is ideal. The EasyGreen system is the only one in the market using 5x cartridges, allowing a rotation system, indicating which cartridge is ready for harvest. No need to write dates on each jar or bag!
f. According to Dr. William S. Peavy, author of “Super Natural Gardening sprouts needs to be consumed on the 5th or 6th day of germination, thereafter the young sprouts use their abundant amounts of minerals and vitamins for their own growing process. It is important to consume sprouts fresh and around the 5th day of germination. No other sprouter can supply an automatic indication of which cartridge is now on its 5th day.
Tips
• Room temperature must be around 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Sprouts must not be exposed to direct sunlight. However, once the sprouts are ready you can place them in the window if you would like to green them up.
• If you have mold issues, add hydrogen peroxide to your water, and also attach a small fan that clips onto the front of the unit to blow air through the vent holes of the removable plastic door.
• Wet the trays before adding your seed, it helps them stick to the tray. When filling the tray, you can cover the drainage holes with paper towels to prevents runaway seeds from getting stuck or blocking the tiny holes.
• It is recommended to rotate the trays 180 degrees every day.
• When filling the tank, the 5.0 liter mark is the maximum, and will overflow into the tray area if you attempt to go higher.
Sanitizing Seeds
The included instructions say commercial growers are required by law to treat seeds against fungus and bacteria. But if you still choose to treat the seeds yourself, soak them for 20-30 minutes in a 200-PPM solution of sodium hypochlorite or calcium hypochlorite. Rinse will after soaking. It is important that you strive to maintain almost sterile growing conditions within the EasyGreen module in order to assure that there are no bacteria or fungus from a previous growing cycle.

Storage
If you will not be using the EasyGreen for 2 days or more, you MUST dry out the mist generator or it will rust. Use an air dryer, and blow hot air through the air intake area of the mist generator for approximately two minutes. Place the mist generator back into the EasyGreen after the water compartment has been emptied & completely dry.
Weekly Disinfecting
Remove the trays & rinse thoroughly. If a tray is not ready to harvest, it can be placed outside the machine until cleaning is complete.
Wipe down the inside of the machine to remove any seeds or sprouts. Place the empty trays inside the machine.
Fill the water compartment with water up to the 2.0 liter mark, then add 4x tablespoons of bleach. Now plug the machine directly into the outlet and let it run until empty (roughly 2-3 hours).
Refill to the 2.0 liter mark (only water), let it run until empty.
Now you can plug back into the timer, reset the timer to match the time of day by turning clockwise.
All clean, you can resume normal operation.
NOTE: An alternative to bleach is 5x tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide at 3% concentration. There are other green solutions on the market, be sure to follow the instructions for ratio/concentration.
Periodical Cleaning (3x per year)
If using tap water as your watering source, then impurities or dissolved solids could leave residue and deposit on the inner surfaces of the EasyGreen and could promote the growth of bacteria and algae. If the tap water in your area is poor, you may need to clean the machine more frequently.
Unplug everything, remove the Mist Generator, empty out the water in a bath tab. Then use any soap to scrub the machine inside & out. Rinse with clean tap water.
Clean the Mist Generator:
Use a toothbrush, clean the impeller shaft holes.
Use a pipe brush, clean the shaft of the impeller (do not attempt to remove the impeller from the motor shaft).
Return the Mist Generator to the machine & secure it with the screws.
NOTE: refer to the included instructions for safety details.
To change an air filter, use a flat screwdriver to edge between the rim of the housing and the filter. The filter will pop out. Extra filters are available in packs of three.
Using only distilled water can minimize the need to descale.
